11. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Mat 10.14And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. ;
Luc 10.10But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, ;
Fapt 13.51But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium. ;
Fapt 18.6And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles. ;
12. And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
13. And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.
Iac 5.14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: ;
14. And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
Mat 14.1At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus, ;
Luc 9.7Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead; ;
15. Others said, That it is Elias. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.
Mat 16.14And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. ;
Mar 8.28And they answered, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets. ;
16. But when Herod heard thereof, he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he is risen from the dead.
Mat 14.2And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him. ;
Luc 3.19But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done, ;
17. For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife: for he had married her.
18. For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother's wife.
Lev 18.16Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness. ;
Lev 20.21And if a man shall take his brother's wife, it is an unclean thing: he hath uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless. ;
19. Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:
20. For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.
Mat 14.5And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet. ;
Mat 21.26But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet. ;
