31. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Luc 12.5But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. ;
32. But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
Gal 3.4Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. ;
Evr 6.4For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, ;
Filip 1.29-30For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake; ;

35. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Luc 21.19In your patience possess ye your souls. ;
Gal 6.9And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. ;
Evr 12.1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, ;
Col 3.24Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. ;
Evr 9.15And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. ;
1Pet 1.9Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. ;
37. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
Luc 18.8I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? ;
2Pet 3.9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. ;
Hab 2.3-4For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. ;
38. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Rom 1.17For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. ;
Gal 3.11But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. ;
39. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
2Pet 2.20-21For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. ;
